BlizzCon will be back in 2013, but this year Blizzard is not holding the now semi-annual convention to focus on game production.

Fans are likely disappointed, but it’s hard to complain too much when it means that Blizzard will be focusing on getting Diablo III, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, and World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria out in 2012.

Blizzard also wants to devote more attention to the 2012 Battle.net World Championship which is taking place in Asia at the end of the year.
